Conservation for the Columbia Highlands

At Conservation Northwest's Spokane office you'll find Derrick Knowles and Crystal Gartner hard at work building support for the Columbia Highlands Initiative. Spokane is the hub of the Inland Northwest and the home of outdoors loving people who like to hike, boat, fish, hunt, and camp in and around the nearby mountains, lakes, and streams.

Our staff in Spokane coordinates and partners with local conservation allies. They are reaching out to local hunters and anglers, who are naturally concerned about conservation of the greater outdoors. They bring volunteers together to help restore lands and rebuild trails, collaborating with equestrians and trails groups. They've built ties with the interfaith community, whose members care deeply about protecting God's green earth.

Clean water and air, open forests of pine, and big sky views. Together we protect wildlands and wildlife in the inland Northwest, from the Spokane and Columbia Rivers north to the Selkirk Mountains.
