Award-winning wildlife expert, Susan Morse presents a slide show and weekend workshop on lynx, bobcat, mountain lion, and black bear.

Learn about how citizen participation in grassroots, landscape-scale conservation initiatives can help protect and conserve valuable wildlife habitat. Susan Morse has over 35 years of experience tracking and researching North America's large carnivores. She is a nationally-recognized naturalist and habitat specialist and has been featured in Audubon, Smithsonian, and Nature Conservancy publications as well as on NPR public radio. Experience her astounding wildlife photography and unique insights into the field of wildlife conservation and tracking.

The weekend will begin with a Friday evening slide show presentation followed by field days on Saturday and Sunday. Participants learn how to apply scientific knowledge about the habits and habitats of various carnivores and predict where to look for sign based on this information. In the field we'll practice "search imaging" as well as Keeping Track's scientific documentation methods for photographing animal tracks and sign.
