Join us this winter for our exciting snow tracking portion of the Citizen Wildlife Monitoring program. This is a mandatory training day in order to participate in this project.
Trainings for this winter are FULL. If you had already signed up earlier, please read below for details.
We are seeking volunteers for this winters snow tracking surveys along I90 at Snoqualmie Pass. Participation in the project requires attending this FREE daylong training followed by participating in three days of snow tracking surveys sometime between January and March.
The Cascades Citizen Wildlife Monitoring Project puts people on the ground to document and better understand wildlife movement and presence of animals, from bear to wolverine, in the Washington Cascades. Volunteers on the project combine wintertime snow tracking with year-long motion-sensitive remote camera work.
The I-90 Wildlife Bridges Coalition fiscally sponsors and manages the project together with the Conservation Northwest and the Wilderness Awareness School. Staff from the school train volunteers to run wintertime wildlife tracking transects.
We hope you'll join us this winter for our exciting snow tracking portion of the citizen wildlife monitoring program.
