Endangered Species Day is a chance to celebrate our wildlife and wild habitat.
Endangered Species Day is a chance for everyone to celebrate and learn about the endangered species near us and what we can do to help them.
Here in the Northwest we have quite a few endangered species living around us. Cascades grizzly bears are still having a hard time, with fewer than 20 remaining. The Canadian lynx, wolverine, and mountain caribou all still need our help too. In fact, five of the top ten "hottest" North American wildlife endangered by climate change live in Washington state.
Do something this endangered species day.
- Help protect Cascades grizzly bears.
- Go to the Endangered Species Coalition (Conservation Northwest is a member) to see other easy ways you can help!
