Enjoy this hike in northeast Washington as part of our “Exploring the Columbia Highlands” conservation hike series
What makes this hike unique is that you get the entire scope of the Kettle Range landscape in one day! Significant elevation gain and loss will take you through a gamut of wildlife habitats -- lush forest with glimpses of Sherman Peak, sunny hillsides of pine and juniper, marshy areas with wildflowers, tall grasses and sagebrush, an amazing stand of old growth that often shelters forget-me-nots along the trail, and more.
Length: Approx. 14 miles
Difficulty: (5) Difficult
A carpool for this hike leaves Spokane at 7AM. Estimated return time to Spokane is approximately 9PM, and may vary depending on factors such as trail and road conditions, and the pace of hikers in the group. Upon registration, you’ll receive details about what to bring and where to meet. All of our hikes in the series are led by an experienced, volunteer hike leader and co-leader.
Please contact Crystal with any questions, or to register for this outing!
