Enjoy this hike in northeast Washington as part of our “Exploring the Columbia Highlands” conservation hike series.

Discover the wilderness of northeast Washington on a free, guided day hike!

Venturing through some of the most spectacular country in the Columbia Highlands, this day hike climbs past a rushing creek and deep gorge through old-growth ponderosa pines the first few miles, then opens up to great vistas where wildflowers abound.  Just north of the Colville Indian Reservation, eagles, hawks, black bear, mule deer, and cougars make themselves at home here.

Length: Approx. 6 miles

Difficulty: (4) Moderately difficult

A carpool for this hike leaves Spokane at 7:30AM. Estimated return time to Spokane is approximately 7:30PM, and may vary depending on factors such as trail and road conditions, and the pace of hikers in the group. Upon registration, you’ll receive details about what to bring and where to meet. All of our hikes in the series are led by an experienced, volunteer hike leader and co-leader.

Please contact Crystal with any questions, or to register for this outing!

Hikes are rated (1) Easy, (2) Moderately easy, (3) Moderate, (4) Moderately difficult, (5) Difficult.
