Come join us as we explore beautiful, rugged landscapes in the Columbia Highlands seeking protection under the Wilderness Act. Our hikes feature some of the region’s finest trails traversing the Colville National Forest’s remaining wild gems. Bring your camera and be prepared to see a variety of wildflowers, wildlife, and expansive mountain views. Along the way you’ll learn what you can do to keep this area wild—and proudly claim you had a hand in earning its permanent protection under the Wilderness Act for future generations to enjoy.

Each hike is lead by an experienced trip leader. Some hikes are trail work parties, where volunteers hike trails while maintaining them, making them easier to travel for future hikers.

Hikes are free, though a $10 donation per family helps our work to ensure a healthy future in northeastern Washington for wildlife and people, off-sets costs to organize the hike, and gets you a free membership. Please consider donating when you register.

REGISTER online for hikes soon!
Hike difficulty (1 easy, 5 extremely strenuous) and approximate length listed. Click the hike name for more info on each hike. Each hike has a Spokane, mid-point, and trailhead meeting point; these will be emailed to you when you register.
