Trail Work Parties
Trail work opportunities in eastern Washington
Getting outside on the land
Trail work parties are a wonderful way to get outside and conserve our public lands. Conservation Northwest has an active program of work parties in northeastern Washington. Last summer we got a lot done and made friends along the way. Look forward this summer to more reasons to get out into the Inland Empire!
-
We have worked with Backcountry Horsemen, Forest Service employees, and other community volunteers to build and clear trail at Pend Oreille County Park in honor of National Trails Day.
-
In one project, nearly fifty volunteers pulled knapweed and other noxious weeds along the Spokane River on City parkland as part of the first annual Spokane RiverFest.
-
As part of the the Kettle Range Rendezvous, people got a chance to get their hands dirty for a good cause, rebuilding a washed-out section of an historic trail in partnership with the Pacific Northwest Trail Association.
-
We've teamed up with the Inland Northwest Wildlife Council, a Spokane-based sportsmen organization, on the Goodrich Meadows Fencing Project to help rebuild 2,700 feet of deteriorating fence intended to keep cattle and off-road vehicles out of a sensitive wetland on the Colville National Forest’s Republic Ranger District.
Join us for future work parties! Visit our calendar as we get closer to summer.
