Riverside State Park Foundation and REI host a service project at the Indian Painted Rocks area along the Little Spokane River. Conservation Northwest is helping promote this opportunity.
Celebrate National Trails Day by sinking a shovel into fresh dirt of the Little Spokane River Natural Area and making a section of trail your own. The Valley Trail currently runs into private property and the goal of this project is to redirect that portion of the trail onto state park land.
This family-friendly project is open to volunteers of all ages and abilities!
Register! It is very important that volunteers register.
Sign up as a crew leader! It’s not a huge time commitment. You will need to be at the project 30 minutes early for orientation. Prior trail building experience is a plus but not required.
REI service projects are always a fun and engaging way to be involved in the outdoors!
