Seeing the Coast through Rockies through hikes
Conservation Northwest sponsors a fun, summer hike series in the areas we work to protect. We also sponsor outdoor trail maintenance projects, primarily in northeastern Washington forests.
Join us in the summer for a hike
in the Columbia Highlands or take your family on a self-led hike! See answers to common hiking questions.
Each summer we are also part of exhilarating outdoor work parties, where your efforts will help keep our wilderness trails open and our parks clear of invasive plants. Please see our calendar for upcoming events.
Our region of focus is the Washington Coast to the BC Rockies. Within this region, there are four distinct ecosystems we work to keep wild and healthy: The Columbia Mountains, the Olympic Mountains and Willapa Hills, the North Cascades, and the Central Cascades. The Columbia Mountains comprise the southern part of the Inland Temperate Rainforest of British Columbia and the Columbia Highlands of the Colville National Forest in northeastern Washington state.
We highlight a few hikes in each of these magnificent areas below. Safety disclaimer
