From the Coast to the Rockies

"Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean." –John Muir

Conservation Northwest works to protect and restore the breathtaking, wildlife rich landscapes of the Great Northwest. We want to help you discover and appreciate the special places we protect, to better connect with our efforts to keep the Northwest wild.

Our region of focus is the Washington Coast to the BC Rockies. Within this region, there are four distinct ecosystems we work to keep wild and healthy: The Columbia Mountains, the Olympic Mountains and Willapa Hills, the North Cascades, and the Central Cascades. The Columbia Mountains comprise the southern part of the Inland Temperate Rainforest of British Columbia and the Columbia Highlands of the Colville National Forest in northeastern Washington state.

We highlight a few hikes in each of these magnificent areas below. Hikes disclaimer
