Habitat restoration volunteer opportunities near Wish-Poosh Campground

Come out and enjoy the beautiful fall weather and soak in the fall colors while planting native trees and shrubs on the eastern side of Cle Elum Lake!

We are partnering with botanists from the Cle Elum ranger district in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest to plant native plants at the Wish-Poosh Campground to help restore native plant cover and mitigate human impacts from the nearby campground. These planting event efforts serve as part of our Central Cascades Watershed program which works to restore habitat on public lands north and south of Interstate 90 that are vital to wildlife movement between Mount Rainier National Park and the Alpine Lakes Wilderness.

Our date options to meet up and work with these knowledgeable resource specialists are Friday the 21st, or Saturday the 22nd (Priority Date). A final backup planting event may be scheduled for Thursday, October 27th. Please select your preferences and availability using this Google Form.

We will meet at the Wish-Poosh campground boat launch at 9am and work (with a lunch break) until 2pm. We will provide shovels, wheelbarrows, gardening gloves, snacks, water, and a handwash station – please bring a sack lunch!
