A letter to the editor in support of Washington wolf recovery, arguing regulation for ranchers and landowners, not wolves.
I have been following the news about the re-establishment of the wolf in Washington with great interest and was delighted to hear of their return.
I’m writing to let your readers know that wolves are not just a local issue but a national concern. Their recovery is eagerly followed by groups far beyond Washington state.
While some ranchers and landowners might feel wolves are a threat to their lifestyle, I would contend that if that lifestyle is incompatible with a cherished public resource, then it is not the wolf’s actions that need to be regulated.
