As of Nov. 4, 2010, drivers traveling over Interstate 90 Snoqualmie Pass are asked to report wildlife and roadkill sightings as part of the national “Give Wildlife a Brake” week.

Drivers traveling over Interstate 90 Snoqualmie Pass are asked to report wildlife and roadkill sightings as part of the national “Give Wildlife a Brake” week.

Some of the species that can be seen on the pass include deer, elk, black bears, cougars, and smaller animals such as bobcats, coyotes, and skunks.

“Give Wildlife a Brake week recognizes the increased need for drivers to pay attention to animals on or near the road as daylight hours grow shorter,” said Charlie Raines of the I-90 Wildlife Bridges Coalition.

I-90 Wildlife Watch asks travelers to pay attention as they travel I-90 between North Bend and Easton, and to report observations of live or dead wildlife at www.i90wildlifewatch.org. The website includes an interactive map to assist people in pinpointing the location of their sightings, and a brief series of questions about animals sighted.
