Environmental groups want BC to enact legislation to protect the 1,900 species at risk in this province. It's the kind of law that's already in place in all other parts of the country except Alberta.
BC South Okanogan is one of the most unique ecological regions on the continent and it's home to a species that is more vulnerable than previously thought. We're talking about rattle snakes, and unlike most provinces there is no endangered species legislation to protect them.
