This week, Conservation Northwest helped successfully stall proposed Washington state legislation harmful to wolves. Learn more about where wolves stand now.

The three anti-wolf bills, "spectacular in their awfulness" for Washington's wolves and wolf recovery, were introduced in the first session of 2011. Their proposition is part of a broad escalation of attacks on gray wolves as they return to wild areas around the West.

Also this week emerged yet another report of the illegal killing of a wolf in Washington, further threatening an already precarious population.
