Restoring wildlife habitat in key areas of the North Cascades

Conservation Northwest works on both the east and west sides of the Cascades crest to protect, connect, and restore habitat for wildlife. We're active directly and as part of collaborative groups on many forest restoration projects.

With the help of local partners, we help protect and restore forests and improve connected habitat for wildlife. We do this by:

• Restoring habitat. Key projects include restoring forest area along the Mount-Baker Snoqualmie and Wenatchee-Okanogan national forest lands, connecting habitats along the I-90 bridge, and sustaining private ranchlands in eastern Washington.
• Decommissioning of old roads.

• Watching over management of our national forests.

• Citizen wildlife monitoring and participation in a wildlife watch with partners along the wildlife corridor along I-90.
