Stillaguamish Watershed Stewardship Pilot Project

Webpage to facilitate collaborative efforts around the potential stewardship project in the Stillaguamish Watershed on the Mount Baker Snoqualmie National Forest.

A potential pilot stewardship project in the upper Stillaguamish Watershed explores restoration opportunities for plantation thinning and road restoration on the Mount Baker Snoqualmie National Forest while evaluating if stewardship contracting is an appropriate tool to use to meet the restoration needs of this watershed.

Field trips were conducted with members of the SIRC, Conservation Northwest, North Cascades Conservation Council, Pilchuck Audubon, and US Forest Service to three possible plantation stands along Road 28 and the North Fork Stillaguamish.  The field trips were on November 9th and 16th, and a phone call is scheduled to discuss the groups next steps.
