Restoring the Upper Yakima watershed
Conservation Northwest is part of a voluntary group dedicated to restoring the health of the Upper Yakima Watershed in Washington and addressing the social, economic, and ecological issues that arise in restoration. The group is open to the public and meets quarterly.
The Upper Yakima Watershed stretches from the peaks of Snoqualmie Pass eastward to just beyond Ellensburg including areas such as Gold Creek, Swauk Creek, Teanaway River, Manastash Creek, Iron Creek, and the Yakima River.
Our 2010 annual report highlights some of the investments of members of the Upper Yakima Watershed Action Group over the past year as well as plans to continue that restoration in the years ahead.
