1. Colville National Forest Proposed Wilderness and NE WA Wildlife

Footage from proposed wilderness areas in the Kettle River Range near Republic, Abercrombie Mountain northeast of Colville, and the Selkirk Mountains near the Salmo Priest Wilderness Area and Sullivan Lake, as well as shots of wildlife common to Northeast Washington.
 
2. NE WA Ranchlands, Logging, and Communities

Clips that capture the type of working ranches, farms, and forests that are still common throughout the Columbia Highlands region, including cattle and cattle ranching shots and logging and milling activity.  Additional footage of many local communities, including Republic, Newport, Metaline Falls, Colville, and Kettle Falls are included.
 
3. Timothy Coleman Interview

Interview footage with Conservation Northwest's Columbia Highlands Initiative Director Tim Coleman covering sustainable forestry and wilderness issues, as well as improving community relations in the town of Republic.  Tim was on the panel of speakers at the Spokane press conference.
 
4. Russ Vaagen Interview

Interview footage with Russ Vaagen, whose family owns the Vaagen Brothers Mills in Colville and Usk in northeast Washington.  Russ covers the successes of collaborative forestry, need for a balance that includes wilderness, and the economic benefits the NE WA Forestry Coalition's work has brought to the region.  Russ was on the panel of speakers at the Spokane press conference.
 
5. John Eminger

Interview footage with John Eminger from the top of the mountain at 49 Degrees North Ski Area near Chewelah, WA, which he owns.  John talks about the economic benefits from balanced forest management that includes wilderness, including the recreation and tourism benefits of protected areas like Wilderness and National Recreation Areas. John was on the panel of speakers at the Spokane press conference.
