Founded on conservation
Conservation Northwest's Seattle staff work out of our office in the West Queen Anne neighborhood. They are Development Director Chris Marx, Development Manager Stephanie Pietromonaco, Outreach Coordinator Alison Huyett, Conservation Associate Jen Watkins, and Major Gifts Director Paul Bannick.
Our first Seattle office was in Fremont and got its start as The Cascades Conservation Partnership. The Partnership was a broad-based, successful project administered by Conservation Northwest from 2001 to 2004. It raised a stunning $84 million in public and private funding to protect checkerboard forest lands near I-90 and Snoqualmie Pass. Nearly 17,000 people donated funds protecting 38,000 acres of forests, trails, and wildlife habitat, helping connect the Alpine Lakes to Mount Rainier.
That work to connect habitat for Cascades wildlife continues with our involvement in the I-90 Wildlife Bridges Coalition and I-90 Wildlife Watch. Join us as we connect wildlife passage north to south across the Interstate 90 divide, and around the state! Working on projects from wolf range riding to citizen wildlife monitoring.
