Founded on conservation
Our Seattle-based staff of Development Director Chris Marx, Development Manager Kim Bevier, Conservation Associate Jen Watkins, Major Gifts Director Paul Bannick, and Outreach Associate Kit McGurn work in an office just south of the Ballard Bridge, in Seattle's Interbay neighborhood.
Our office in Seattle got its start as The Cascades Conservation Partnership, when Conservation Northwest founded and administered this project starting in 2001. By the projects end in 2004, The Partnership had successfully raised $84 million in public and private funding to protect checkerboard forest lands near I-90 and Snoqualmie Pass, helping connect the Alpine Lakes to Mount Rainier.
That work continues with our involvement in the I-90 Wildlife Bridges Coalition and I-90 Wildlife Watch, building wildlife connections north to south in the Cascades across the Interstate 90 divide.
