Jen’s appreciation for wild spaces and wildlife started at a young age, exploring the Appalachian forests and mountains of Maryland with her family. Her passion for the outdoors led her to receive a B.S. in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Florida and a M.S. in Wildlife Management from Montana State University. Her pursuit of a career in the wildlife biology field took her on a 15+ year journey around the U.S. and Antarctica working on a variety of wildlife research projects. Jen joined the non-profit sector in 2014 when she moved to the Seattle area to serve as the naturalist at a local wildlife rehabilitation center. Later she worked for a human-services focused non-profit to hone her development skills. She is excited be a part of the Conservation Northwest team and meld her wildlife biology background with her development skills to support a mission she feels truly connected to.
